As a full IB student who will be having exams in May of next year, I would like to know if there’s any hope of the Worlds dates being changed to NOT conflict with those exams?

The date for Worlds has been consistently in late April except for this year in mid-May, so I think it’s common for seniors taking IB not to attend Worlds for their IB exams. While I think we would all appreciate it if the dates could be pushed back until after the exams are over, I guess RECF will still aim for an April date for Worlds and we’ll be out of luck.
The odds of those dates changing I’d say is small. While it stinks because many robotics students are high performers on these tests it’s un likely. VEX coordinated those dates and many teams have already booked from signature event qualifications. For VEX to re coordinate is unlikely. Its always been an issue with robotics champions ships (both VEX and FRC).
According to the 2024 RECF Town Hall, the date of the 2026 World Championship will not conflict with AP, IB, or AICE testing.
