I know one match a tournament previously, we had two matches which would seem replay worthy: One the control towers on the field disabled three robots and the other match was a miscount by the referees
Generally, like in your examples, the things that can lead to replays are volunteer errors or equipment failure (but not failures caused by teams in the match - these might fall under rule <S1>, but they won’t result in a replay).
In the NbN Q+A, there are two specific examples of situations that can trigger a replay:
Balls being accidentally put back into the field
Goals coming apart when hit by balls
In the case of field control disabling robots at inappropriate times, this can definitely be cause for a replay but it can also be very difficult to verify. A field control problem looks just like a VEXnet disconnection unless you are carefully watching the status LEDs on the joystick and the field control hardware. You also have to know what lights to look for (see this excellent post by jpearman if you’re unsure). To further complicate things, field control problems are MUCH less common than VEXnet disconnections. So in some situations where there was a genuine problem with field control, referees will not be able to issue a replay simply because they don’t have the necessary evidence. Your best bet if you encounter a field control problem during a match is to show a ref or field tech the GAME light on your joystick or the lights on the “driver interface” (the thing you plug your joystick into). If any of these four lights are behaving in an unexpected way then you have a field control problem, but if they are all behaving as expected then the problem is almost certainly not field control.
I don’t know of a Q+A thread that says this, but If the volunteers counting the score disagree about who won and it’s too late to check then that match should be replayed. If the scorers disagree about the score but agree about who won then a replay probably isn’t necessary, and a replay shouldn’t be granted if the volunteers agree about the score but one alliance or one team is challenging it. (This is why it’s important to have two people independently scoring if possible).
Alright, that would make sense.
