This is my first time qualifying for worlds and I am confused about the ticket system. What are tickets and what do they do? Why do we only get 9? Does 1 ticket count as 1 person? What should we do after a match? Is there a time to explore the pits? Is there a time to explore all of the sponsors and get free stuff? Well, if you could then please answer all of these questions.
Hello, congrats for making it to worlds! The tickets I believe are to get seating in the dome during the opening/closing ceremonies. I don’t know why they only give out 9 per team, but it is 1 ticket per person so if you have a small team you should be fine.
To answer your other question, there are lots of things to do after matches, you can never really be bored at worlds. Pits, food, interviews, collecting free stuff, meeting teams, the list is endless. Rest assured, you should have a lot of time to have fun and explore as there is about 30 mins to an hour between your matches.
Hope this helps and good luck at worlds!
Thank you! This helps out a lot!
If your team doesn’t use all their tickets, please return the extras to check-in so that other teams can use them.
In between matches you can visit the pits, run skills, watch other matches, stand in line for merch, visit the vendor booths, etc. There’s lots to keep you busy!
If anyone has any extra tickets please return them to the pit admin or check in area. We have lots of parents going and not enough tickets. Curious to see what happens at the open ceremony (have seen the closing online at least).
