I’m a long-time Head Referee, and every year I wonder what I’m not watching for that the teams wish I had been watching for. Figured this season I’d come right out and ask.
Tipping Point competitors, what do you believe referees should be watching for in teamwork matches, and aren’t? Thanks in advance for your insight and help!
Technically doesn’t fit the thread since referees are usually watching it, but always trapping.
Invariably, I have teams that always says something like, “I have video evidence that we were being pinned!”.
Its always trapping!
I think refs should be very aware of platform violations in the endgame (last 30s of the match) period.
As someone who is a competitor, I think the only big thing this year the head refs needs to watch out for is SG3 in all of its forms.
I have a side bet that SG3, currently at a…d will be a…g in the Feb release. Events almost need 3 refs per match, two to focus just on the platforms and the third to just watch the matches.
