What exactly goes into the pre auton part of code?

Hello, I’m the coder for my team (1757T) this year and am fairly new to it. I was wondering what exactly goes into the pre auton code? Like, is it for calibrating inertial sensors and things like that or are there other things that can go there too?

In addition to calibrating the inertial sensors, it is also a good space to initialize your global variables, set the braking and velocity of your motors, and register any of the event handlers that you might be using.
