I’ve seen teams have a ‘logbook’ and a ‘notebook’; like in the logbook they put everything they did and in the notebook they had it like a finished copy. Is there a difference? Which should I do or should I do both?
but I would look deeply into this section of ReCF library regarding notebooks.
I think your engineering notebook should reflect the whole teams effort in designing, programming, building and competing with the robot for the season. Key is having a solid understanding of the game, game play, and develop ideas for offensive and defensive game strategies.
Keep asking good questions like this, you will find a lot of useful views on the forum here.
In a nutshell, the notebook is the thing that you will present to the judges, and the logbook is a quick way to write down what your team did for a day (small/big changes, quick updates, simple notes). The logbook shouldn’t be too detailed, but there should be enough information to put into your final notebook.
