Build a BanHammer and ban your own robot from Vex for being too OP.
Smash your robot so people can’t steal your design
Make sure your bot can stack a tower with 2+ width, the more cubes the better.
If you know you have a clear advantage, spin in circles for the remainder of the time making sure to stay as close to your stacks as possible so your family and friends can get a good photo of your bot next to its carefully placed stacks.
Use KEPS nuts on your pivots, the keps part is supposed to spin.
If you use screw joints make sure to use keps nuts. The joints have to much friction if you use locking nuts.
The time listed on your schedule is ran through an AI to be perfectly accurate. Dont worry about checking what match the tourny is on
Wheels are overrated. Just use sprockets.
Look at the robots at Worlds last year. Pick one that did well (and you have the parts to build) and assemble it as exactly as possible. Boom, you now have a killer robot that will win every tournament you compete in (or at least get you to finals), but literally took no effort to build. And notebooks don’t matter. But go ahead and look up notebooks online to copy if you like.
Dont do anything dont even turn ur bot on it might confuse the opponent and they will give up
You know what’s even more overrated? Systems altogether. Just screw some C-channels together with 3 inch screws, eight unlocks per screw so they don’t fall off, a couple of motors (not doing anything, of course) and a brain. The batteries, brain and motors are all Bluetooth operated, so you don’t need to plug them into each other. The battery is plugged in and charged via Bluetooth, so you don’t need that. But you must tether your 7 controllers (the bare minimum) to your 18 brains. Good luck this season!
steel robots are better at defense
don’t do skills
use zip ties instead of screws. The screws break quite often.
Don’t read the forum, just makes Covid-19 posts every fifteen minutes
The best way to reduce weight is removing the battery. It’s too dense and not very useful.
well your right about how useful it is
No radio, it’s just a useless piece of plastic that takes up space on your robot.
I agree, DEFINITELY!!!
Why have wires? Each motor has its own bluetooth chip so you can control each motor with a toggle of the joystick or the press of a button!!!
Y waste 2 motors on a drive, just have a 1m differential drive, u may only be able to move forward and turn clockwise (not at the same time) but that’s fine
