In my opinion the single best RPM and wheel size for 4 motor drive is 360 RPM on 3.25 inch wheels.

My team used 44w 333 rpm on 3.25 inch wheels on our first robot and it worked very well. It was decently fast, but it didn’t overheat easily. It only became noticeably slower/weaker after driving for 15 minutes with a 15 pound robot.

you should be running at LEAST 360, if your robot is lasting 15 minutes without slowing down you could increase it. I use a very fast 6 motor drive that lasts about 3 minutes, but you only need to last 2 for a match so that is plenty.

Yeah, we have since rebuilt and are using 66W 600 rpm direct on 2.75. It works much better than the 333 rpm drive.

We ended up using this and it works great! No overheating issues for 8 minutes and is very fast but still controllable!
