What's your debrief or "after action" look like?

We’re looking for something a little more structured than “so… how’d it go?” What do you do for your after-tournament conversations? Do you have a standard way of debriefing after a tournament and planning your next round? Any process or outlines you use to run those sessions?
Thanks!

Usually we start with “how’d it go” followed by “what went wrong and why” (even if you win every match, no competition is perfect) and make a list. We come up with solutions to the problems and set deadlines for completion. If a team dynamic problem occurs at competition, creating competition roles for each person is also super helpful. Then discuss goals for the next competition and how to accomplish them, again setting deadlines for completion.

Usually our mentor discusses the competition one team at a time. He goes in a circle, asking us first about how we felt about our own performance, then how we as a whole did at the tournament. Then he discusses his own opinions on it and what we can do better next time.

I recognize this is EDR and I coach IQ, butt anyways…

First we review the golden rule of retrospectives… basically we assume everyone did they best they could in the circumstances. I then go round robin with all the team members, first for something that went well. Each team member has to give me at least 1. I wait until the team members have gotten everything out and then add anything I feel they missed. We then follow the same routine for what can be improved. We then use that to prioritize new tasks.
