Are Omni-wheels good of this years game?
Omni wheels are a good choice for all games. However, what purpose r u using them for?

Most teams will either use Omni or mecanum wheels for their drive. Omni wheels give lots of traction, and allow for good manueverability
We are using them for a bot that can stack towers
Omnis would be the best choice in my opinion since mecanum wheels would give you more angular movement than you want, and solid wheels would make it harder to line up cubes on cubes.

Omni wheels are NOT good for cube flywheels Yes omni’s are great for motion.
Are y’all using 4 wheel omnis or just front omnis?
Most teams use 4 Omni but lock either the front or back to prevent being pushed around.

We are using them for driving
I’m using all four wheels as omnis
I prefer six omni wheels with the middle on each side locked.

I dont think I have seen a single team with a 4 wheel locked omni drive, but I have seen infinitely more teams with a 6 wheel middle locked omni drive or just 4 wheel omni drive.
Please be more careful with your word choice

He was saying that the front or back is locked, not both simultaneously. That’s pretty common.

Maybe that wasn’t from before when robots had to to climb. The middle wheel is as there for better climbing performance. Since no climbing is required for this year, no middle wheel is required
Well guess I need to be careful with my word choice. I assumed “4 wheel locked omni drive” would be interpreted as a 4 omni drive with 2 of them being locked, but I guess not.
We are also using a chain drive to move.
