I intend on purchasing an lcd display for the upcoming competitive season. They are currently out of stock. When will I be able to purchase one?
If you plan on using V5, you shouldn’t, they have LCD screens built into the cortex.
I don’t plan on using V5.
LCD displays have become obsolete with the V5 system. I bet you can score a used one off of eBay at some point for a pretty reasonable price.

Another out of stock thing I need is the bumper switch, do you know anything about getting that?
that’s a sensor the V5 system is replacing. They may not return to stock. although they usually will state that it is discontinued.
I’m surprised these items are out of stock. There seem to be a lot of unknowns regarding what upgraded sensors the V5 might bring (and when they would be available).
These items being out of stock makes me wonder if the legacy sensors will ever be in stock again. There are a lot of school programs that use the cortex system, so maybe all of these items will soon be in stock.
I would imagine that the items you are looking for will come back in stock before long.
They have not been listed as discontinued. And with a number of teams (and classrooms) that remain with Cortex, I would expect that they will support the pieces that are compatible for a while.
The LCD isn’t available on Ebay.
Try teams near you that will be moving to V5.
Are you in touch with your regional re-seller?
I’m guessing that they won’t necessarily have LCDs in stock, but they might have the most up to date info on these items.

One of the biggest indicators of what VEX will do is based on the classroom, which is, according to Paul (IIRC) around 3x the size of the competitive market. Many many schools will still use Cortex for years into the future, which probably means that the sensors will come back in stock eventually
Sorry to be a terminology Troll, but we will ALL be using EDR for quite a long time as that is the name of the robotics platform. We used EDR before the Cortex control system (with the PIC control system) and we will continue to use it with the V5 control system. I agree that many schools will continue to use the Cortex, so VEX will place those components back into stock.
True true, I don’t see VEX taking away C-Channels any time soon
