When do we typically get the schedules for our comps even thought they're likely to change

My team has our first comp Saturday and we were just wondering when we get the schedules or any tips and tricks people have to suggest

You usually get the schedule at the comp

For our team, it usually happens at the drive meeting which is around 9-9:30 am

Competitions will typically give a paper version of the match schedule at the start of the tournament (although this may vary). If the tournament supports live updates to Robotevents, you could check the match schedule on the competitions’ page on Robotevents.com, VEX Via app or other third-party apps for V5RC that can show which matches are completed, with their scores.

If in doubt, please check the match field to see which round is queued/active or any pit displays that may be around the venue.

You will probably never get a schedule until after team check-in has closed usually the morning of the competition). The event partner/tournament manager operator will not generate a bracket earlier in case a team does not show up.

If you are talking about a day schedule, you can usually find it through Map Search : Robot Events a while before the competition. If you are talking about the match schedule, that usually comes out on VEX Via after everyone is signed in. In rare occasions, you can find match schedules about 16 hours before the competition.

We have teams check-in online before the event. Generally, we generate the match schedule the Friday evening before competition. Works 99% of the time. Gives teams something to keep them occupied before competition, less likely to take apart their robots

Teams actually do this a week before the competition? I’m amazed.
