When the opposing alliance helps you win a match by accident. Tipping Point

At our most recent comp, during auton the other team programmed their robot to go for the middle neutral goal, grab it and bring it back, but accidentally caused the neutral goal to fall over into our side and our auton scored us 3 rings- (our main scoring device is a WIP so we had to improvise it to drop three rings into the alliance goal) - leading us to easily win the match.

Cool.

We had our alliance partner push the alliance goal out during autonomous period, so even though we won the neutral goal rush, it was an autonomous tie. The points didn’t end up mattering in the end, though.

Quite the scenario, but what exactly are you trying to say? Do you have a question? Or is it just something you wanted to share with people

It’s under chit-chat / Rumor Mill so im guessing they are just sharing and asking other people if they have had something similar happen.

ive had that
One recent one for me was
My bot clamps mogo
opposing clamps
we start dragging them cause we need that mogo to win(close match)
30 secs hit
we have the goal on our side
they dont let go
unintentional SG3’s occur
we didnt mean for them to have SG3 violations but they got hit by other bots and goals and didnt let go of the mogo
