Hello Everyone I was wondring what the best build for the vex v5 robot the reason i am asking is because this is me and my teams first year with vex and we dont know what to build for our robot
A good place to start is with the hero bot, meant to be a starter robot that beginner teams use to learn how to play the game. From there, you can iterate and improve! As for other robots, it is highly unlikeley and discouraged for teams to “give” a robot design away.

Here are the predesigned 5V trainer builds. V5 Build Instructions - Downloads - V5 - VEX Robotics The trainer for the current season is called Striker. Keep in mind that none of the pre-designed robots are intended for competition, but rather teach you good building practice and give you a place to start. Just like learning to ride a bike, after you’ve built the bots with “training wheels”, you need to study the game manual, game strategies, and begin designing your competition robot.

Mods can we change this from iq to vex v5
I would recommend building a clawbot or the hero bot to help you get familiar with building techniques. From there you can look at youtube or here on the forum for some robot ideas. I personally like breaking it down and finding most of the possible options to do a specific task and deciding on what would work best for you. ( an example of this is looking at some of the most common drivetrains and looking at the pros and cons of each to figure out what will be best for your team.)
