Where do we ship robot?

I’m going to ship my robot to worlds, should I ship it to the hotel or convention center?

I believe you should probably ship your robot directly to the convention center. Here is a link for more information.

I would highly suggest not shipping it to the convention center, as the convention center likeley will be having a ton of shipments to it from Vex themselves, and its possible things could get mixed up.

I’ve never been to worlds, but I’m assuming the hotel. I don’t think they can do anything with your robot at the convention center right now

If they ship the robot it could break, because they will throw it when shipping…its like check in.

Thank you very much, my team has decided however to take our robot on a plane and I was wondering if we need to remove our pneumatics from the robot to check it

You don’t need to remove your pneumatics from the bot, but I recommend unplugging the tube from the tank to allow pressure to equalize through the system during the flight, just to be safe.

However, you should remove batteries from any checked luggage and put them into your carry-ons (just put the robot batteries in the carry-ons and then put the controllers there as well to be safe).

No problem! The pneumatics, as well as all other parts, should be allowed on the plane, just be sure to keep the robot in a safe position so that it doesn’t break throughout the flight. Remember to keep the lithium batteries as a carry-on, as I do not believe they will pass as overhead luggage.
