(Please) Choose which logo we should use for our team - this is the final descision:
A:

B:

What is this for? Is it a T-Shirt, or some stickers, or what? I think the top one would look better on a shirt, but for anything else I’d go with the bottom one.
The logo we choose will most likely be used on a T-Shirt, our website, and our other pages such as Twitter and Facebook. Whichever one we decide on will also be converted into a banner form (the bottom one already is, it’s my current signature).
Thanks to everyone who has voted so far!
To tell you the truth, A looks like a cheap unprofessional logo. On the other hand B looks really vibrant and appealing to the eye. Trust me B is the much better logo.
agree with Clean Sweep Man (lol, you should change you name to “gateway man” :P)
and the banner you have currently looks decent already
so why change it?
I think the second one looks better as a full graphic. Maybe you could even add some detail or a border to the T because the numbers have some texture, but the plain T seems just a little odd. Just my opinion.
However, sometimes a very detailed banner isn’t doable, and something simple is necessary. That would be A, unless you create a modified version of B that has the same style and color scheme, but is a little bit simpler.
LOL ok so i had texture on the two t’s in the first place and these noobs told me to take it off. lol thanks to everyone who is replying. The banner version is my signature as well.
I like A, but it needs something more than just solid colours. I would also cut the word “team” to make the “3057” bigger and more readable.
I think B uses more effects than it really needs to. I also don’t feel the parts fit together all that well, particularly the font you used for “Tenacious Tech” at the bottom.
I created the first one just so yah know.
I feel like B is far less professional - it looks like a gaming clan banner or something.
A would look far better on a t shirt, especially with minor changes. Texture, however, is completely unprofessional.
If we were to get stuck with either of these logos for the next few years, I highly doubt B’s novelty would last for more than a few months; A is far more simple and palatable to all.
That’s my opinion. Which looks more like a logo, which more like a clan banner.
IMHO
You pretty much win.
I would say B, but I think for your team numbers, maybe they should be a little bit bolder/thicker. (just my opinion) But I really like the set up
I can tell you this now - design a logo with the intent of screen printing in mind for shirts. Few colors, simple designs = cheaper to print and usually looks better.
The second logo would cost a lot more to have converted and printed on a shirt due to the number of colors and fine detail.
Take a page out of one of the most iconic FRC Teams, The Thunder Chickens - http://www.thunderchickens.org/ Their logo is simple, uses solid colors only, and is instantly recognizable.
I don’t think you really wanted this to become a debate, however, my 2c worth.
Do you really need the text? Some of the most famous logos are simple graphics designs, Apple, HP, Chevrolet …
Does it work well large and small.
I think both designs have their merits but (and I’m sorry but I couldn’t help myself here) how about this.

@jpearman I think that is a pretty good alternative. I agree the number must be much bigger because that is the method by which teams typically remember each other.
As a member of 3057 and having not voted yet, I would say we should probably go for a hybrid of the two. Basically, we should use B but tone it down a bit and match the fonts better. And perhaps, we may want to fade the two T’s into the back ground behind the 3057. I also think, like Ryan Dogneaux said, we should make it a bit simpler so it is easier to print on shirts.
Thanks again for everyone’s input on the subject.
How about something like this?
I’m sorry to bore all of you with this again, but this is the logo we ended up deciding on:
Thanks again for all of your help!
Good choice, I far prefer it to the options from 24 hours ago.
Thanks! We figured that more people voted for B but people liked the more professional look of A, so we tried to put the aspects of both logos into one.
I say use A, to be honest it reminds me of back in the day with the old FRC teams first started using logo, it may look a little simple, but you should just let the logo pick itself, GUS has had a couple logos over the years, maybe this year go with one, and next year change it up! If you do ever get A made into a shirt, I’d buy one.

Edit: Failed to read last two posts. Sorry. >-< I do like the logo you decided with, I’d buy a shirt with that on it any day.
