So I’ve noticed on a lot of robots this year there is either a traditional catapult (Triball placed on arm and launched, like last years catapults with the disks in Spin Up), and a similar design to a catapult, with rubber bands and a swinging arm, but instead of using the arm to “throw” the triball, the triball sits on a platform and the catapult arm hits it off and launches it that way. My team is building a platform design, but I was just wondering, is there any noticeable difference? What changes if you use the arm to hit the triball instead of throwing it?
