If i built a simple square bot with 4wd or 2wd would it be hard to drive with omni on the front and back wheel?
I suggest keeping the regular wheels in the front and only putting omni in the back. That should make it turn easear
or you could put one omni on each side of the robot, then the robot can go anydirection
to do what you described in your original post you would need mecanum wheels
If you put omnis on the front and regular wheels on the back the turning point would be on the back and the front would swing in a wide arc, it is the opposite if you switch the wheel placement. This should help depending on what you want your bot to do.
It wouldn’t be hard to drive the robot, just more difficult to program if you put all four wheels as omnis.
