Will my program that I coded in PROS run during competition? It’s uploaded to the remote and I have to select the program under the “Programs” tab in order to run it. When it’s connected to the competition wire, will it run my custom program as a default?
Sorry, this is my first year using v5 and I want to make sure it works.

As long as you have your Opcontrol, Auto, and init functions you should be good. You can test it out if you have a competition switch, if not I would highly suggest buying one.
You could still test it by using the match mode in the controller.
No program will start automatically, regardless of what software you are using to program it. You must start your program through the menu on the Brain or the controller, at which point the program will be free to respond to changes in the competition control state.
Yeah I have all the necessary functions. Unfortunately, I do not have a competition switch. Am I suppose to select the program, run it, and then plug in the competition wire? Because I need to select auto and the program must be running in order for me to select auto from the brain.
Your Autonomous and opcontrol should be in the same program, if it is you can test it out with the match mode on the V5 controller like enothecool said. Yes you will run the program and then put in the comp wire.
