We are the robotics team at Wingfield High School. We live in Jackson, Mississippi, which has one of the most poorest school districts. Our school district is on academic probation, so we are organizing our robotics club in order to prove that even in our current situation, we as students can make a difference. We are in need of a sponsor(s) so that we may be able to recieve funds for competitions . We would really appreciate it if someone could help us get to on track by donating any robot parts and/or suffecient funds. If someone wants to help us contact our coach at her email address: [email protected]
~Thank you
I would recommend reaching out to local stores and shops. Show them the bot you have in the photos, and that you can actually get it to work.
Much easier than getting large companies to sponsor you.
Ridgeland High School here from just up the road. Glad to see you here on the forums! Email me or come see us and I can give you some ideas and help.

I’m always willing to help a team out! PM me if you want tips on getting sponsors, parts, or any other supplies. Hope to see you in competition!
I am not sure how event partners do things in your area, but as an event partner, I often will hold back a few spots to comp teams for helping with the tournament. I know other event partners in our area do the same thing. Rather than spending money for event registrations, you might be able to work something out with local event partners where your team helps out with the event in some way. One of our biggest needs is help cleaning up and another is help setting up.

Email corporate sponsors that have offices/factories in your area and ask for support. They would love to show that they are helping the community that they invest in. Just an idea. Hope this helps and good luck!

Try getting local sponsors- they have the good will you need. You might also want to look on ebay- sometimes you can find some good deals.
A go-fund me or a self organized fundraiser isn’t a bad idea either.
