wireless connection failing

I cant get my controller to link wirelessly to the brain.
It will work when tethered but not wirelessly.
I changed the raidio chips but to no avail.
Could it be that the radio waves are blocked by a piece of Vex?
it’s on an omni wheel slide drive.

Really frustrated.

Hello~
Sorry for your frustration. The most common cause for this is not having the radio modules inserted all the way.

  1. Remove them, (You may have to remove the battery from the brain and controller first - there is a small, red release button under the battery on the brain and a black tab you must push in on the controller.)
  2. Check that there are no obstructions or debris on the contacts.
  3. Reinstall and push hard to make sure that these are inserted ALL the way. Listen for a click.

I am attaching a photo of a set that are fully inserted. Compare these to yours to see if yours are in all the way.

I had the same problem. It turned out the controller battery was faulty. Once I had replaced the battery it worked fine.
