Hey guys,
This topic came up in discussion last night while watching some of the NZ matches, and I thought it was worth posting.
Some of us felt that the music selection at Worlds last year could have been a tad bit better. We were wondering if there is any chance that we, as the VexForum community, could put together our ideal playlist for Worlds.
There’s the start of my list. If you guys have anything you want to hear at Worlds, toss it up here, maybe we can convince them to add a few songs. Please keep the songs clean (no stepping on anyone’s toes).
If we can’t get these played for the whole tourney, I’ll try to at least get a few pumping at my team’s table.
Axel F - Crazy Frog (techno-type… no vocals)
Mr. Roboto - Styx (come on… it’s a robot comp!)
MacGyver theme (sort-of relates to robots)
Final Countdown - Europe (for finals)

I’d say Muse - Uprising (we consider this our team song )
Imo rap and hip hop is horrible for competitions, it just doesn’t work for robotics competitions (and I just don’t like it :p). I don’t like techno/dubstep either, but I must say it is good for building hype and energy at competitions. I don’t really mind what the music is though, as long as there is a decent variety. There have been some awesome suggestions so far though :D.
