It’s that time of the year theirs only 140 open world spots because of that I was wondering has anyone made a mock division list for this year.
I don’t know what that means
Here is my live spreadsheet from last season updated for this season: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1X31_LTKHyi6odGhuWake72FbNoSScG_3M1I8cCWcSAo
Teams from the skills rankings will be added once I have time to figure out how to fix them.
Last year instead of counting off the teams like they have always done, they constructed the divisions completely randomly to my knowledge. As a result, a spreadsheet like this is unlikely to have any accuracy at all. It would seem that vex has made it impossible to predict the division team lists.
Oh I didn’t notice that
will there be a research division this year? I only saw 5 divisions in the mock division list
Looking at https://www.roboticseducation.org/documents/2018/03/vex-worlds-vrc-round-robin-criteria.pdf I’m pretty sure there’s going to be 6 divisions again.
I had 6 teams in VRC HS last year, one in each division. From what I can tell they just start at the top of the team list and assign one team to each division starting with Science. Last year was STREAM. I would guess this year will be the same.
For us it was a bit weird last year. We had a total of 6 teams, but we had 2 of them in the Math division. Not sure how that happened.
Which leads credence to the it’s randomized. I know they use to do the one by one assigning to spread same org teams throughout
It isn’t that hard to divide same organizations into different divisions without doing it in numerical order. Just take the organizations, randomize them, and then go down the list with STREAM. I don’t know how the 315 thing happened though. But considering the fact that (I think) the other organizations were split up, it might just be a slight mess up. Or maybe VEX tried to throw our theories off.
