That is a very nice “walk” ha good luck
flight and a drive…dang… I always hated combos
We leave Connecticut Tuesday night and tend to get there around fourteen hours later, including time for a stop Wednesday morning.
Woooo, 4am van drive from kc mo, hi from all teams in misery
The more important question is whos ready for the barrage of homework when we get back?
I have an orchestra trip the next Thursday and Friday as well.
Woot! Yeah, it’s even worse in college, especially with only 1 week of classes after worlds and then finals. And then there’s those who are gonna be gone for over an entire week to go to IQ and VRC this year.
I’m super glad we don’t have to go through and airport. I have heard way to many stories about lost and damaged robots. It is a 13 hour drive, but it’s bearable.
+1
Senior scrapbook and senior paper to write and turn in when i get back
I’m only in 8th grade, I can’t imagine high schoolers homework, then again I am also staying for IQ because one of our schools IQ teams qualified, go 985s!
Just do a Forrest Gump and run there.
Extremely economical, until you get mugged…
If someone tries to mug you then pull an 8000 and have your 6 foot robot beat the daylights out of them.
Just need a couple belts to strap the robot to your back, everybody get your running shoes ready.
You have six chances. I can just imagine Lewie sitting on one of the robots as they try to reload it in time to stop a mugger.
Unless you get people to run with you like in the movie
Why run when you can make a robot with a pneumatic & ratchet drive? Bring an air pump and you’re set!
My team, 8931A, is coming from Lake Stevens, Washington (an hour north of Seattle, WA). We are leaving Seattle-Tacoma International Wednesday afternoon, with a layover in Charlotte, North Carolina (5 hours 5 min flight). We then fly from Charlotte to Louisville (1 hour and 30 min flight). From the time we leave for the airport to the time we reach our hotel, it will be approximately a 13-hour trip.
Can’t wait to see you all there!!
8059 now in the midst of our 27-hr flight to Louisville.
Stopover at Narita at the moment.
@meng
That’s rough…safe travels!
