0 piston mobile goal pickup

We are a new team for V5 high stakes and we don’t have a pneumatics kit yet. I was researching some ideas and come across a similar mechanism from the “In the Zone”game.

I was wondering if any of the high stakes team here have tried applying the similar mechanism used to pick up mobile goal in “In the Zone” to the mobile goals in high stakes. If so, is it effective?

The answer is probably yes and no at the same time. Is this what you meant? This version uses 3d printed components which are not VRC - I mean, V5RC legal, but it’s the closest implementation I’m aware of (and a proof of concept)

look at 5203G and OWL’s “Minun” Ri3D. Youtube’s blocked on the computers so I can’t link it here but look up 5203G on youtube, get to the channel, and look for the “Ri3D explanation video”

yes OWL and 5203g build a robot that worked using this type of lift. it does have 3dp parts but you can easily replicate it using legal parts.

but i would recomend just doing the same mogo mechs as people who do it with pistons but motorize it. it is very simple to do this and alot simpler, more effective and less work than building a whole 4bar system

To add on the list, there is also these:

You could also do a standard Intake with Mobile Goal clamping, but with a motor:

(you might need to tweak that a bit for High Stakes)
Or

You can also do a lift-like thing like this:

You can also create a mobile goal shaped frame to lift it:
