Game manual didn’t have rules, um… So no rules about how many rings?

If there’s no rule against something you’re free to do it.

Now that most people now what type of robot they are doing, what can your robot do?

  • Rings in bases
  • Rings on alliance goal posts
  • Rings on neutral goal posts
  • Rings on high goal posts
  • Goals on platforms
  • Robots on platforms (click this unless you’re an x drive)
  • Move goals

Theres nothing in the rulebook limiting what you can have, so im assuming that this allows you to completely sweep the field of rings once the match starts. id suggest primarily focusing on mogo first but have a competent ringscorer so u can get tie-braking points

they are pringles that have transended

Why no X-drive though?

I plan on specifically platform climbing X-drive.

While carrying neutral mobile goals, of course.

If you make an x drive than can climb up on the platform, I will be very impressed. Good luck!

Shifting x drive with unlimited pneumatics anyone?

There were x-drive that climbed up the platform in TP.
So it is possible.

What makes you think x-drives will be unable to climb the platform? As meng said, x-drives could climb platforms in TuP, which seems like a harder challenge if anything. It seems like it would have plenty of traction. I guess torque could be an issue…but what else?

might get stuck with only 2 wheels on platform and not be able to move up…

I see no reason an x drive would have a particularly difficult time climbing the platform. it requires no ground clearance, only a decent amount of traction and torque. which if built properly, and x drive should have.
