I think that the post would be part of your robot as you would have to have it attached somehow and if any part of your robot is touching the floor tiles or the wall it makes it so your robot doesn’t count. This is assuming I’m understanding both the rules and your comment
I haven’t read into the strategies too much, but isn’t the guaranteed strategy having the most points? It sounds ridiculous, but the majority of cones was a guaranteed win, flipping all the flags and parking was a guaranteed win, clearing your side in startstuck… you get the idea. I’ve yet to find a strategy that is truly unstoppable besides scoring every point. I hope not to get backlash for this but y’all sound kind of silly with your “secret strategies”.

I think peoples issue with it is that they got all excited about a cumulative scoring game and got a game that is winnable in autonomous.
This game would be a lot more interesting if they limited possession and not hoarding.
But on the other hand I want to make a 6m drive with a shifter to race for the center mogo.

Got some math wrong so it’s not winnable in autonomous but a big advantage that will be hard to make up especially with 2 robots solely playing defense with 6m drives.
this game is not winnable in auton. there is nothing you can do during the autonomous period to guarantee a win. you can give yourself a large advantage, but like @golf said, the only way to guarantee a win is to score more points than the other alliance.
now what if blue gets auton and red doesn’t? Blue wins.

I’m pretty sure it would be almost impossible to fit both bots and 5 mogos on the balance platform.
Which is the thing that their opponents would immediately attempt to prevent. If the alliance got 5 goals and 2 bots on the platform during auton, mb you have a point. There would be some heavy defense if the plan is to platform two bots during driver while maintaining possession of 5 goals.

If you get all 3 yellow goals across you will be pretty much garenteed auton
I am not saying it is likely, but I think it is possible to win the game during auton.
Also, you could get away with nit scoring your alliance goal as you would win 260 to 252 if blue scored every single ring (which I think is unlikely).
