My thought there is to descore triballs from opponent offensive zone to their match load zone, forcing them to de-clutter to continue loading.
this is undoubtably going to be one of the worst games vex has made
I mean it would not be as useful as it would in spin up but It wouldnāt be terrible I am planning to make a scissor lift that is horizontal and it would be a de scorer bot with a endgame pull up
This is definitely one of the possible strategies.
And most of the triballs ended up in one side, it.might end up having 4 robots in that zone as well. Imagine the how congested it will be.
Care to elaborate on the reasons?
The problem with that(imo) is that those still count towards the score of that alliance. If youāre descoring enough to declutter like that, you might as well push them to the other side to steal the points.
Nope, check out SC4. Balls in match load zones are not scored.
One of the potential reasons is that there are only 3 ways to score. Most previous games have always had at least 4.
the elements are easily dentable
there is only 3 ways to score, each of wich has a easy solution (one meta - hardly any diversity)
double zoning will make it imposible to change the tide of the match if a team gets a early start
20 points for a robot over robot climb is not even near enough for teams to actualy try to preform that task
575$ for a game that probably cost around 120$ to produce
plus some more that i forgot but this looks like it might turn out to be another change up
That is true. The night the game was released I had a thought about the endgame and how the robot would probably drop because they end the code when the game is done.
+1 on the ādentā comment.
Just opened our kit.
2 of the 4 sides are easy to push in, 2 are impossible.
There are a LOT of LARGE/HEAVY steel plates that go under the tiles. I feel sorry for EPs⦠having to setup/teardown fields.
The elements are lighter than expected and are like trying to catch a greased pig. Iām sure the first matches will be⦠sad.
The tri-balls could also be called tri-acorns.
You could probably use a ratchet?
36" Horozontal
Vertical is the literal sky
Was reading the rulebook this morning and it says the goal is bounded by the PVC pipes extended to the foam tiles and under the net. It would be really cool if you could shoot it onto the net. my friend and former driver noted it would be hard to de-score the triballs if they were on the net, too. I think the net will be too tight to get a triball to stay on top, but Iād love to see someone try.
Touching the top yellow part of the elevatation bar isnāt allowed, unfortunately.
Touching the yellow elevation bar cap is allowed, however you wonāt be elevated. I predict that teams will use the cap to pull themselves up, and then latch onto the elevation post afterward, then stop touching the yellow cap.
please i need to know are we allowed to drive over the long barrier
It is allowed, you just canāt be touching it once the match is over if you want your robot to be scored, so you could make a device that pulls you up using the top of the pull, clamp onto the pole just below the yellow cap, and lift the mechanism that pulled you up off of the cap.
The goal is bounded under the net so shooting on top would not count for points. In addition, if they somehow manage to stay on top of the goal they become match loads for the opposing alliance.
