Could 2Z post a video of them doing a skills run because I am curious to see how many points that could score?
According to robotevent.com They got 180 in driver skills and 116 in programming skills.
That robot looks a lot different from before! What is that fire rate!!! How many balls do you make out of 24. The average, sorry
We usually get around 22-24 balls. The only reason for missing those 2 balls is due to improperly loading, so if we load all the balls properly, all 24 balls go in.
Is there anyway you can make the ball placement accurate or make a holder for the ball and then punch it.
Yes there is a way, just like you said- have a holder for the ball.
How exactly does your puncher work? Its a killer!
Yes it is a slip gear. We have the same design and it is working very well for us.
Like always, great design!
I was wondering what did you find out in regards to the weight of the puncher. Did it work better when it was heavier or maybe a lighter puncher with more or less elastics.
Thanks
But with an elastic catapult you cannot adjust the distance of the shot
Ya, we just went to an event at their school, I’ve seen it up close now.
Team 502 from alpha secondary in Vancouver has two pneumatic pistons on this type of launcher that allow them to quickly adjust how much the ball is hit, which allows them to shoot long and short range.
Heya, out of interest, are all motors on 2R’s robot high speed? or just the drive train? Thanks~
Good idea, but only if it works and it looks like it does.
Hey Ed Hale,
On 2R we had everything on high speed except the flywheel motors which were on turbo.
What’s the gear ratio on 2r’s new robot’s flywheel?
Nice robot! I love it! Just one question: Can you show me a picture of your robot facing the camera (intake facing camera)? And what is your base motors geared at? Thanks!
@Andy Guan(2R) @Neiah Montero 2Z
Does 2R have 2 4" wheels?
What do you use for the Punch? Motors? Standard? Gearing?
A photo of 2Z from November:

We used speed motors geared 1:2 for our base.
For a single linear punch we would use 2 motors on torque, and run it using gears.
Could 2Z post a picture of one of their punchers? Thanks
