3d printed Air tank holders

I have been reading through the rule book and cant seem to find if 3d printed air tank brackets would be allowed I think they would be but I do not want to spend the time for them to not be allowed

Welcome to the forum. In the game manual, rule R8-g is the only exception for functional 3d printed parts, other than parts for "non-functional decorations.

(rules are different for VEX-U)

But would this be considered a functional part just like 3d printed license plate holders

To rephrase R8, the ONLY functional 3d printed part allowed in VRC is license plate holders.

If the air tank holder is holding the air tanks, it is a functional part (it’s function is to hold air tanks).

ahh ok sounds good ive heard that and read that but saw some other highschool teams in arkansas with it and decided to look into if it was legal or not

The guideline I have used for years is “take off the decoration and tell me what happens” if your tanks are held on some way and the 3D print is your team number along the tank, then its fine. If the tanks now flop around, it is not fine.
