Hi karthik I was wondering if highschools are able to 3d print parts like colleges were during toss up, for this years game skyrise since this would allow for more innovation/simplification in some of our designs?

We ask you to please thoroughly read the VEX Skyrise Game Manual and to please review the Q&A Usage Guidelines before posting in this forum. Specifically, please quote the rule or definition that your question is referring to.

Let’s take a look at <R5> and <R7> from the VEX Skyrise Game Manual.

<R5> Robots may be built ONLY from Official Robot Components from the VEX Robotics Design System
unless otherwise specifically noted within these rules.

3D printed parts are not official VEX components, so let’s look for a rule that talks about non VEX parts.

<R7> Robots are allowed the following additional “non-VEX” components:

Here we have a long list of allowed non-VEX components, but 3D printed parts are not included on this list. Thus, they are not legal for usage in VEX Skyrise.
