Answered: Controlling an Opponent's Mobile Goal Clarification

In this thread , @The_Rubber_Spoon had the idea of encasing the opposing alliance’s mobile base in the chassis. The basic question I’m asking is to what extent this is legal, but I have many specific questions about it, and I’m building off of what has already been established here

  1. Is it legal for a robot to surround an opposing mobile goal on 3 sides?
  2. Is it legal for a robot to surround multiple opposing mobile goals on 3 sides?
  3. Is it legal for a robot to surround an opposing mobile goal on 4 sides?
  4. Is it legal for a robot to surround multiple opposing mobile goals on 4 sides?
  5. Does the legality of 1-4 change if the cage the mobile bases are enclosed in is large enough that a mobile goal can only touch 2 sides at a time?
  6. Does the legality of 1-4 change if there is a roof above or high walls enclosing the mobile bases so that they cannot be removed by the opposing alliance?
  7. Does the legality of 1-4 change if the surfaces of the cage are concave, convex, or flat?

Thank you for all you do!

Scenarios 1-4 are all legal, regardless of the qualifications provided in points 5-7. SG6 specifically refers to grasping, grappling, or attaching to goals. Please see these similar Q&A’s for more clarification:
