Answered: No-Show rule

I have a question about the following rule.

If a team is missing, does another team step in to take their place? If so, who decides what team plays?

The reason I ask is because at our last competition one of the teams did not show up for the match and the refs let the alliance with the missing team pick whoever they wanted to sub in for that match. Because the team was allowed to pick whoever they wanted, they ended up getting first in qualifications. This didn’t sound right to me so I looked it up and this is the only rule I could find pertaining to the issue.

Thanks!
Daniel

No other team steps in. However, some events in the past have provided teams with a stock Clawbot or Protobot to use in lieu of a missing alliance partner.
