Answered: use of freeze spray to cool motors

Good evening:

Is the use of industrial aerosol freeze spray legal to prevent motors from overheating?

Product example: Amazon.com

I saw a thread from last year that addressed canned air ( https://vexforum.com/t/answered-legality-of-canned-air/25995/1 ). This product is used by many teams to accomplish the same thing as freeze spray by turning the can upside-down so that the propellant comes out with the air.

“<R7> Robots are allowed the following additional “non-VEX” components…” doesn’t list this item, but I was unsure if this would automatically disqualify its use.

I apologize if this has been covered elsewhere, but I have been unable to find specific mention of it in the NbN Official Q & A using search, and have seen widely varying interpretations regarding the use of freeze spray at different events.

Thanks in advance for your time!

Yes, this is legal.
