My VEX team has a total of 3 starter kits, and we want to create gear trains.
Any optimal gear trains that can be made that are reliable and use only those available pieces?

most optimal for the starter kit contents is probably 84 driving 60 tooth. hope this helps. MAke sure you do 4 motor drive tho
