The crazy part to remember is that the computers used on the Apollo program had far less processing power than V5. They also had less processing power than most (probably all) smart phones. There are even calculators with more processing power than Apollo had available…
Most of their calculations were done using pencil & paper (or blackboard) with the assistance of a slide rule.
It is worth taking a step back and reflecting on just how amazing the tools we take for granted really are…
