Asterisk Drive for Spin Up

thanks

I thought this was called a hexdrive…

Im a bit late to the conversation, but why not 3-wheel holognomic with doubled motors for every wheel?

The main problem with a 3 wheel setup (usually called kiwi drive) is that not all 3 wheels are putting in full power when moving, so the drive is inherently power inefficient. Also the triangular shape is more difficult to work with compared to a rectangular base.

If you have pneumatics you could use a pto to have the two motors switch between powering the intake and powering the spinner, as its unlikey a robot would need to intake and shoot at the same time.

Or you could just connect them without PTO, and be constantly running your roller-spinner. Or you could make a roller-spinner that can also intake match loads.

For over under you coulda added an extra 5.5 watt motor to each of those then it may be decent at 343.

Lol you revived a completely dead question from 2 years ago. Half motors are quite useful
