You are allowed to remove pins from some goals I think (I talked about it a bit in Descore - VEX V5 General Discussion - VEX Forum, but that post might still be awaiting approval. However, even if you can descore, I don’t think this would be allowed anyways as you’re only allowed to possess one pin and one cup at a time.
SG9 and SG10 prevent any kind of descoring, either intentional or accidental.
(Drivers are gonna need to be GOOD this season as to not knock the stacks over accidentally.)
I am curious as to how easily the stacks can fall over and tip. I imagine it would take a lot of effort since it looks like the pins and cups fit quite snugly, I don’t know for sure though.
I guess I’m just going to have to wait until I can get my hands on the field.
I do think a lot of the descore worries are unnecessary though. For example, at the beginning of last season people were really worried that you would be able to descore entire goals simply by ramming into them, but it turned out to not be an issue.
I’m 3d printing the pins and cups and the abses right now so I’ll try to give updates on how easily it tips. I’ma gonna use the clawbots to see if it tips easily or not since the hero bot is to expensive.
Im pretty sure the goals are mounted to the field too so the goals should not fall
They fall really easily. We only got three pins and cups, but even they fall down if you just hit it hard enough.
