So my team MIGHT (emphasis on might) be going to recf, but we don’t know. If we do, can I still use vex forum to ask questions and stuff? It might sound like dumb question, but I just want to make sure it’s allowed. But we might not, I just want to know.
It is unlikely that posts pertaining to the RECF competition will be approved. I’m honestly surprised that this post was approved.
I am sure eventually RECF will have its own forum.
but why must it be one or the other (is it because of lack of money for registration)? at least for this season, it makes lots of sense to consider going for both.
VEXforum has always been open to posts about their products and VRC Competitions. As @60_Percent_C_Channel remarked, RECF competitions are likely not to be approved as they are outside the scope of forum purpose (much like the chit chat section in the past).
Who really knows? Time will tell.
Because it costs too much to dual enter 10+ teams into both for our org. Also, as far as we know (which isn’t the full story yet), but all of the ne region is deciding together so all of the teams are in the same comp.
I think that if your post or question is about VEX products/materials and not anything about the RECF competition and all, then it is okay to ask. But I think some clarification is needed about this and rules probably need to be made.
The gameplay also got changed a lot so even if a robot from one program could score points in the other it would not be the most efficient in the other program.
