The motor just spontaneously break, no high heat or physical damage. This has happened a lot of times and we’re running out of motors.
@jpearman Is there any way to tell if this is one of the defective Rev10s?

My club has had luck with fully disassembling and reassembling the motors, it doesnt fix all of them but has saved a decent number. The bottom casing in your picture has a couple more screws and can be taken apart further, take the bottom off and unplug the actual motor from the board and plug it back in, then try powering the motor and see if it runs.
In general, the first thing you should check when a motor isnt working is if the light on the port is solid red. If its not, its a port issue. If the light is solid red but the motor wont spin, try spinning it by hand by putting an axle in the motor with a wheel/something to grab on to and turning it. If it wont spin, the motor is likely locked up and disassembling might help or fix it all together.
