Can you flip the toggle during autonomous?

Google says no but some people say yes, what’s the answer?

You mentioned google and other people, did you check the game manual? The item with all the the information about what is legal and how everything is scored. If its not there, did you check the QnA then make one.

We on the forums are just regular people. Unless we can quote something from the game manual or a QnA it should not be relied on for a ruling of legality.

Hope this helps

I’m having trouble finding it in the game manual but people at blanks has flipped toggles during autonomous

Vex almost always adds a specific clause if an item is not scored in autonomous, like Parking last season. As for interaction, I couldn’t find any point in the game manual where toggle rules mention anything about auton. In games with match loading, they make specific rules if you can’t match load in auton, so I think for now its resonable to assume you can use the toggles in auton.

Hope this helps

The game manual states that the Toggles are only scored at the end of the match. They don’t count for anything during or at the end of the Autonomous Period, for the end of the match is defined as 5 seconds after the Driver Control Period. You may flip the toggles during auton, but they won’t affect the score of the match until the end of driver.

So in short, no, flipping the toggles in autonomous does not affect the score of the Autonomous Period. I hope this helped!

Thanks to both of y’all! I think we will end up still flipping them in auton just to give us a little advantage. Thanks for the clarification!
