What are some other greases that are legal for VRC? To my understanding, they just have to be non-aerosol or non-spray. My team plans on using white lithium for the cascade, but it can dry out and solidify over time.
White lithium for the cascade is a good legal substance as long as it’s non-aerosol or non spray but I suggest you look into Super Lube Synthetic Oil with Syncolon PTFE as it is one of the two substances that teams I know have tried out other than white lithium and worked really well as white lithium as you said can dry up fast and it can increase friction along with flinging off high speed gears in a competition possibly leading to a DQ. If you’re looking to buy PTFE I suggest checking a local store or ordering from RoboSource due to it having multiple legal robotics parts and substances that all are legal according to R19.
White-lithium grease has always worked for our team. Just apply in moderation.
