Due to the advent of the new 2’’ Omnis, though I doubt they will be used a lot, I took the liberty to update this thread with some new gearings (some CAD screenshots not included, I’ll try and make some, but I’ll take any you guys have). I have ommitted any gear configuration with anything larger than a 36 tooth gear attached to the omni wheel.
2" Wheels
700 rpm (73.29 in/sec)
200 rpm motor geared up 84:24 (7:2)
Extremely bulky and fast, I would not recommend this.
600 rpm (62.8 in/sec)
600 rpm motor 1:1 direct drive
Any other gearing will just result in more friction, and this would be the best one on these wheels in my opinion.
