Catapult build with slip gears?

So i’m currently in the process of building my team’s catapult. Our deadline is friday, as we have a tournament next sat. One thing i did notice is that some ppls catapults are fast, and sum are slow. Does anyone by chance know how or can give me some insight how to star and build a fast one. We have i believe 2 slip gears. Here is a pictuc

You could try to have 1/4 shaved, 1/4 normal, 1/4 shaved, 1/4 normal. We used that and it was extremely fast.

You can double slip it as in slipping 2 opposite portions of a gear or add more rubber bands.

Ok, ill see if i can cut some off tmrw

@Alo It could be a programming problem as well make sure your motor is running at full velocity or max voltage if you want it to be as fast as possible. Or if you wanted to you could add another motor to the other side to increase the speed of the catapult.

Cata pult fire speed is based on slip gear rpm. So if you ahe a 100rpm slip gear which is pretty standard this year then you get 100 fires per minute. But this is assuming you have a single slip. If you do double slip it means you get 2 fires per roattion and so it boost your sped to 200shots per minute. But you will get less range of motion most lickley because you will havw to cut off more teeth.

You also have to keep in mind how fast you are going to able to load it because 200 shots per minute isn’t realistic loading time so it wouldn’t be worth it to make it that fast.
