Its likely not your robot. If you can answer the question I asked a bit higher up i might be able to solve your program 
our claw doesn’t wanna go up and the motor is making a noise

You may have a dead motor. You can contact Vex for a replacement through the RMA process at this link http://link.vex.com/rma.
Or you could try using a different motor.

Nope. Once you get a dead motor, as far as I know, you are doing to need a new one. Back when I did IQ, i used to go through a couple motors every year.

No, try switching out the motor on your claw

wich motor do you mean the one that is sitting on top of the motor or the one that is on the side of the motor
