@AMERICAN_DRIVE Let me rephrase a bit: We CAN’T just give you the code, as per the rules of the competition, but we CAN help you figure out a concept. By that I mean that if you are stuck with your code and need help with understanding a fundamental concept about how this sensor is coded, that’s when we can help. My suggestion is to 1. try coding it (If you don’t know where to start, check the help button in the top-right of VEXCode) 2. If your code doesn’t work, reply in this thread with the general logic of your code and we will be able to find and help you fix the issue in the code.
I’m not sure if you meant to link the Q&A, but I’ll respond as though you are saying that any team that asks a question that violates R2/G2/4/5 should be automatically reported. I strongly disagree with this. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, a significant number of SCP violations are committed out of ignorance, not malice. I agree that teams should absolutely read all necessary documents, but realistically, a lot of new teams just don’t. I obviously don’t know a lot about the process of SCP violations, as I have never been accused of one, but it seems like these posts being auto-reported would result in major strikes against the team. If it’s just one member doing this, it’s super unfair to their teammates. It would be much better if people just warned the OP that what they are asking for is illegal.

Perhaps my patience is wearing thin. This forum is moderated by Vex employees, and while that doesn’t necessarily mean a particular moderator is affiliated directly with RECF, each post is reviewed by a human. Posters who indicate an intention to violate RECF rules, IMO, should face scrutiny. If they are willing to post such intents in public, what are they doing in private? It is my understanding that the SCP violation process can lead to a number of outcomes, not just a binary “innocent or instaban”, so I believe your concerns about ignorance versus mallice could be sussed out there.
The minimum age for posting here is 13, which would correspond in the US to at least 7th grade. I would imagine most 7th graders have taken standardized tests or been otherwise informed of general concepts like academic dishonesty. A student taking the ACT or equivalent standardized test bringing the wrong calculator because they didn’t read the requirements would face consequences for that, I think.
