Just started designing my team’s chassis for the new game, and became curious about this.
Will 600 rpm motors geared down to 360 rpm burn out/heat up faster than 200 rpm motors geared up to 360 rpm? Is there a difference in how long each drive could run for / how fast the motors heat up?

Unless I am missing something, there is only one way to find out: try it and see which one overheats faster. (Unless someone has already tried it, and this has the answer to your question).
This year my team tried gearing down the 600 rpm motors and they worked great and didn’t overheat, and our robot was also pretty heavy.
We also geared up the 200 rpm motors but they overheated very fast.
