Good idea from China seen in the Q&A: put paper/sticky notes on each covered tile. Would also be a good idea to use pink/blue ones per each alliance.
But honestly I feel like the idea proposed, as well with making each robot (or at least each alliance) use a different color of string for easier covering tiles.

I think the fact that it’s blurry is more cursed than the fact that the robot looks like as triangle or a parallelogram.
