Nah your doing something wrong if your arms in tt aren’t on metal to metal and also not on the proper wholes while also zip tying the axles together
E: I am truly disappointed in myself from tt. The best thing was is most of the season we didn’t even now that the holes were wrong.

That’s gotta be one of the most cursed image on this thread, you said it’s been like that for most of the season!
It’s was like thst the whole season. We decided sense it worked be would just let it be. We also had more things to worry about thst than. Didn’t really affect us honestly. I mean we still got skills, design, and should have won the tournament at states.
While the rest is certainly cursed, I’ve had good results ziptying axles together. For higher torque loads I often zip em together to prevent skipping. I know there’s better ways to help it but it’s an easy fix and I just grease everything down to reduce friction. As long as it isn’t drastically adding friction, it’s not the worst thing I could think to do
Hey. Let’s go. Yah we did it because some times it would slip and we think it was because first the two holes that were drilled for the highstrength weren’t aligned while also it’s kinda hard to get a drilled whole perfect dead center and the right diameter for the axle.
We did that too, last year. We drilled our holes for HS shafts slightly too large, and didn’t have any bearings for them, so we just used our big zip ties and just zip tied them together to prevent slipping. Never had any problems after that.

Yeah I know it’s far from ideal but I’m lazy. So I do it. As long as the friction isn’t slowing you down/stalling motors it’s not THAT bad. I grease the axles and ties to reduce friction and haven’t had motor stalling problems so I deal with it. It’s not great practice but it is what it is
