Is making a piece out of vex parts that can fit arount the small gear inside a motor to replace a gearbox to make the motor’s output very fast legal?

I’m pretty sure it’s not because you’re modyfying an electronic component, but you’re allkwed to switch out gearboxes and the thing that’s going inside the mitor is vex legal on it’s own.

Thoughts?

So it is legal, you just have to make sure what you’re putting in is a vex legal piece.
